"Checkin' It Out/Sister Madness" – Ozz

Another underestimated band and album. This line-up only released the one album, while guitar player Gregg Parker recorded more under the name Ozz II and under his own name. On the cover, especially Gregg looks a little bit too much disco for comfort, but the album really proves to be the perfect hard rocker of an album. An ivestigation now also prooves singer Alexis had a little bit more input in the songwriting than the credits show.

At first I had another singer in mind, but after being approved a Facebook-request by one of my favourite singers, Paul Shortino, I decided to give it a shot and send him a vocal request. He was all up for it, and I was a happy man! The first solo on this one was supposed to be provided by Moxy’s Earl Johnson, but he ran into some time issues so I took care of the soloing in this one. As a matter of fact, just when writing this I’ve actually managed to find singer Alexis T Angel!!! Man, I’ve been trying to find what this guy’s been up to for years!!! I found out he also recorded a single in 1974 with the band Clown and a CD in 1989 with the Billy Gramer Band! Since I couldn’t decide which track to do, I decided to bake ‘em together, so – Check it out, sister madness!
