Way back in the late seventies we used to cover “Doctor Doctor” (who didn’t?). I actually remember doing it in both TNT, Flash and Paradize! “Phenomenon” was one of my favourite albums and it made me discover Michael Schenker’s outstanding guitar work! “Strangers In The Night” is to me still one of the best live albums out there. “Reasons Love” was actually a suggestion from Joe, and a song I had almost forgotten. I also wanted to do “This Kids” and found the two matched pretty well, so I mashed them together pretty bad. I took the first solo, Martin J Andersen (Blindside) did the second solo and the end solo is provided by Sven Cirnski who gave the song its perfect crescendo. When I met (and interviewed) Phil Mogg in 2009, I asked “permission” to mix the two. He looked at me with a mix of “erhh... ok” and “Are you mad?”. He however said he’d love to hear it. Nice chap, indeed.
